Sliding Forever, a Lord Fred Story

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 27949

Lord Fred slid down at an alarming pace for what seemed like forever (and, indeed, was at least thirty minutes). The only positive piece of news was that he did not seem to be suffering any 'slide burn' from his prolonged experience. His surroundings a blur, the sliding continued until...

Abruptly, the slide terminated, and Lord Fred shot off into a darkened abyss. And then he fell. "Well, this is new," Lord Fred said, amidst the girly screams that he involuntarily was uttering out of his noble mouth. Lord Fred fell and fell and fell, for what seemed like hours (it was hours, in fact).

Finally, Lord Fred stopped falling.

Why did Lord Fred stop falling?

  1. He landed on a huge mound of pillows.
  2. He landed on a huge mound of broken glass. Ouch!
  3. He just stopped falling. He then began just floating in mid-air.
  4. Lord Fred found himself lowered to the ground, facing a mage wearing ornate robes. "Welcome, recruit!"
  5. He didn't. He just passed out. In reality, he was still falling.
