"Fred, Fred," shrieked Exotica.

Fred walked up to the rock. She was stupid and dangerous. She wouldn't be a Dragonslayer unless her father had declared her one. What's the point of being a Dragonslayer unless you've slain a dragon? Exotica was the only one who could be bested by . . .

"Gnomes," interrupted Exotica, "Gnomes. Small ones. They disarmed me and tied me up here while I was sleeping."

"Sigh," replied Fred. He began untying the baby knots.

"You don't think I'm good enough to be a Dragonslayer, do you? Do you? Well, I'm as good as any Dragonslayer out there. Why don't you believe me?!"

"I believe you're a Dragonslayer," comforted Fred. "Let's get you off this island."

1. Exotica refuses to leave without her best friend Amy and her dog.
2. Exotica demands to go defeat the Gnomes.
3. Exotica is annoyed with Fred, but consents to go anyway.
4. The King is annoyed when Fred brings back his daughter, and tells him to go adventuring with her.
