Sanctuary

"There's one now," the leader said. "Come here, lad!"

"What do you want?" Fred asked intelligently (?), seeing as he was already surrounded. Not that they could do anything to him, being dead and all.

The leader pointed to the door of the just-finished shack and said: "Rush in!"

"Why?"

"Because you're a fool! We're trying to create a place where the angels can't come, and everyone knows that angels fear to tread where fools rush in."

Fred pondered. "Isn't it 'Fools rush in where angels fear to tread"?" he asked.

1. "Of course, but don't tell the angels, they've got it backwards."
2. "Past, present, future, it's all the same in a thousand years!"
3. "Okay, I'll level with you. We all want someone else to enter first because we are evil and all fear that one of the others has set a trap for the first one who enters."
4. "Yeah, right! And next you're gonna tell me Grandfather was wrong when he told us company loves misery as well, or that you're better sorry than safe? How about every silver lining has a cloud?"
