It's a bit of a shock to come round and find myself in the form of a vixen - somehow even more unsettling than it would have been to be a male fox. For just a moment I wonder whether I could have been betrayed by my new friends, though now I am a Champion that would have made no sense. Then Synizn explains to me what's been going on.

I have to give him full marks for his quick thinking. All that effort to arrange a fake poisoning, and then I'm a victim of the real thing! I only hope they can quickly complete the arrangements for sending away the servant whom I'll be impersonating. I'll be leaving for Terra Prime with the other Champions when their Challenge is complete, and that's still the best part of a week away. I don't want to have to spend any more of that time in the form of a vixen than is absolutely necessary.

I'm a little worried for my sister. With first my father and now myself being victims of poisoning, I hope that she'll be more fortunate. Now that the erstwhile followers of Samuel are without a leader, they shouldn't pose a significant threat, but I know that quite apart from them there will be those who will stop at nothing to try to put an end to a woman on the throne of Zendara. My old friend Eric - now Erica - will have to watch his - I mean her - step in Daria too.
