The Mercenaries

Fred splutters as a gigantic troll pulls him onto the boat. He hears a voice, "Ug! Let me talk to him." The troll lumbers off.

"My name is Belboz." A tall, thin man comes into view, helping Fred stand up. "Our crew of two could use a third! A sturdy intelligent knight would be most certainly appreciated! I am a necromancer! But not an evil necromancer. And Ug, the troll who helped you onto the boat, is from one of the barbarian troll tribes. We're two old buddies sent to solve a zombie problem in Apaloosa- you know how things are. We've been offered a substantial reward. What is your name, knight?"

"I am Lord Fred, a knight once sent on a quest of his own. However, we seem to be quite far away from the caves, now."

"Indeed we are." Says Belboz. "I propose you join us on our quest; we would most certainly share the reward evenly."

1. Fred joins the mercenaries.
2. Fred declines the offer.
