A New Direction

"Egads!" exclaimed a red-haired man, with a pale complexion and freckled skin. He was wearing a khaki shirt and pants, with sturdy workboots. "Sylvia, get over here!" A tall, olive-skinned, beautiful if somewhat severe woman with long black hair and glasses walked over quickly.

"What is it, Marcus?" she asked, "did you find something?"
"Hell yes I did," he replied, and indeed, that latest layer of compressed stone had finally broken open, revealing an odd scene. There were three human skeletons, two of which were right across from each other. The other human skeleton was on top of a very bizarre skeleton that appeared to be a mix of dolphin and man. "We may never know what happened here," he muttered.
"This is so deep," Sylvia mused, "they may be Allarian. Relics of the Forgotten Age." She grinned, thinking Research grant number three here we come!

1. The skeletons are carefully excavated and brought back for Marcus' team to study.
2. Sylvia makes a very important phone call.
