Driving Distractions

"Man cannot live on bread alone..." they say, and a little recreational distraction would be nice right about now. Who knows, they might even have something useful to say?

Well, now, to say that what they had to say was useful would be a bald faced lie. Not to say that they were LAZY or incompetent, mind you, it's just they were still understandably upset and disoriented from suddenly finding themselves not only in a new body, but amongst strangers. That they remember enough to be panicked about that was just grand. Oh, did I fail to mention the fact that both were suffering from some sort of POWERFUL amnesia that got overlooked in the rush of things? Cry your pardon. Should have.

Basically, the whole experience seems to have induced a mental block on both of them. They can't even remember enough of their former lives to even GUESS which was which! I mean that from what I garnered from what the other newcomers had told me, one of these new vixentaurs had been a male before now. With the amnesia bit in play, we can't even GUESS who is who!

Had been so busy trying to sort out those who'd remain sane and those who were in danger of going barmy, that such a condition had gone undetected by us Champions until now, alas....

Synizn mutters something about it being some kind of magical synergistic something or other playing out with the mass transformation with these two serving as templates. What little I got on THAT when I probed him for more information on what in God's name that was, he basically said it was a rare condition indeed that had to be cured MUCH later....once they got these two back to Terra Prime and to his mage lab. Didn't have enough equipment and potions out in the field to tackle it.

Assuming of course we are allowed to take these two back, that is. For all we know, Rebecca is the only one we know for sure of all the non- Champions about who'll be coming back with us for sure, you see.

Worries, worries!

Damnit.

Surely the Doctor and his Companions are having an easier go of things on THEIR little personal quest than we!

Meanwhile

The "tame mage" has contacted his superiors and is telling them of Synizn's terms and awaits a "yea or nay" on contacting Eric's captors...

1. The member he's contacts sighs, mutters something about these Strangers doing a favor where "...at least that pig Samuel's dead..." and lifts her eyes back to look at the mage on the other end of the scrying pool.
