Lord Fred, knowing that one good thrust with his weapon in the dragon's opened and exposed...

Okay, in one swift attack with his weapon to the dragon's vulnerable spot, Lord Fred has seemingly vanquished the dragon. Is that better?

(Actually, no, there's no way around this one. Go with the first approach you wrote, even if it sounds like blatant innuendo for sexual acts...)

Drawing his mighty sword, Lord Fred rushes up from behind and stabs the dragon in his exposed orifice!

1. The dragon falls.
2. The dragon is uninjured.
3. Fred gets a shower of excrement for his troubles.
4. Fred somehow loses his sword in the bowels of the dragon.
5. The previous few episodes have been a hallucination. Fred snaps out of it, and finds himself shagging Princess Astra on a Thursday night, their traditional "roleplaying night". Astra is dressed up like a dragon. Fred is playing himself.
