Of course since this story took place hundreds of years ago, well, most of
Zimbabwe is jungle and grassland. Fred, being a trained warrior, is able to adapt. He lives off the land as he follows the sun and the stars. He recognized some of the constellations and he was pretty sure he could correlate it all into figuring out a way home.
