"Chill out, man!" he told Crescent, who was livid and foaming at the mouth. "Stress like that'll give ya a coronary!"

With a brutish roar Crecent jumped forward and landed a savage booted kick to Rand's midsection. Rand flew out of the bathroom and slammed against the stairway railing.

"Ow." Rand coughed up blood as Jade Crescent tromped toward him and picked him up by the neck. "Dude, you're totally tripping! Like, take an X-Lax and call me in the morning!"

"I'm gonna make you suffer before you die." Crescent growled.

"Oh, great, some torture!" Rand beamed. "What have you got in mind, feathers? Maybe some light Bible reading? Aargh... hey, how am I supposed to crack wise when you're... aaargh... squeezing my neck like that?"

"Rand!" Meena yelled, turning a corner. In one fluid motion she grabbed a vase from off a table, and smashed it over Crescent's head. The villain gurgled impotently and collapsed in a semi-conscious heap.

"Meena!" Rand yelled. "That was a precious Ming Dynasty vase! What the hell is wrong with you?!"

"Rand, I'm so sorry!" Meena gasped. "But, are you allright?"

"I was fine till the vase broke! I paid out the nose for that friggin thing!" Rand grinned when he saw the distraught look on Meena's face. "Oh, I'm just kidding, girl!"

Rand hugged her and she buried her face in his shoulder. "Oh Rand, I was so scared!" Meena quipped. Rand chuckled, looking at Jade Crescent's twitching form. "Looks like he didn't much care for your patented Ming Vase Attack! Poor moron."

There came a sound of boots tromping up the stairs. "Mister Crescent! Mister Crescent!"

"Oh boy, here comes the party!" Rand said. "Let's go, Meena - it looks like we might have to skip town for a while."
