The Never Ending Quest - Episode 1985

The three companions emerged from the dragon's caves onto a wide, rectangular ledge halfway up the mountain side. It was mid-day but the sun was subdued by thick, snow-white clouds of every shape imaginable. Only a few lines of blue showed between the shapes.
Rubble and rock surrounded the flat platorm, but tall metal fences kept most of it away.
At the bottom, though, was the oddest thing. Trees, yes, but giant trees. Hundreds of feet tall, trees that would need dozens of men to encircle.
"Where are we?" said Fred. Velus whined in confusion.
Astra indicated she remembered something about tall trees...

  1. but it slipped her mind. She could not recall.
  2. she remembered that an Amazon, who had joined a previous quest to find the Sun Diamond, had seen similar trees in a land across the ocean.
