Lord Fred followed the rope into the dark of the eastern leg of the
passageway by touch. He could hear the little dog barking ahead
sporadically. Sometimes barking high notes sometimes low gruff barks. Odd.
Fred wondered if the thing the dog had wanted to lead him to was ahead or
if the dog was merely waiting. Finally, Fred came out into a small cavern lit by a hole in the rock behind a waterfall coming down the south wall and running east out of a crack in the far wall of the small cavern. Its running torrent causing the light shining through it to form patterns on the other walls of the cave. The little dog stood here in the center of the small cavern surrounded by a hundred other little tiny dogs. They all began to growl and bark menacingly. Even the tiniest ones.
