Scott leans his chin into his hands. Neelix slides over another glass of
chilled milk. "Fascinating," he says. "So, you warned your other dimensional counterparts about yet more dimensional counterparts wanting to merge with them?" "Yep. And it gave me a killer headache. But The Doctor said to tough it out. It was my mental pathways re-aligning." "Sorry to hear that." Neelix said. "Computer, dim lights by twenty percent." "Thanks, Neelix." "No problem. You going to be sticking around?" "Yep." "Okay. I'll be in the back cleaning up if you need anything." Scott spun the mobile stool around and stared out the mess hall window. The region of space they were currently passing through was dark and had few systems. Scott watched one of the systems, Beta-Nine-Wildman (a system he named) pass by his point of view in under two minutes. They were really moving. Then space rotated! Scott started, wondering what was going on now. But then he took a deep breath. For whatever reason, Paris has turned the ship over. With intertial dampers and artifical gravity, it really didn't matter how the ship flew. But Scott was still a bit (what was the word?) wigged. Even though it had made no sense, he had always though of the galaxy as having an up and down point. The center of the galaxy had a point that was 'up' and below it was 'down' and most of the time Voyager flew on a plane 'level' with this. Scott idly wondered whether he should try and find out why Voyager 'flipped' or just leave well enough alone and have another glass of milk.
