Fred Carries On

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 15773

Fred ignores the obvious supernatural trap and carries on.
There was a small, cramped passageway leading down the left side of the lake. Fred slid sideways through it, carefully, only getting an inch or so of clearance between his back and front.
This went on for some time. Finally, the passage widened and the floor dropped.
Fred stood on a wooden platform. To his left yet another thin passage headed off into the darkness. Straight ahead was a wooden beam over empty air.
One hundred feet down were several sleeping men. Fred could hear their snores even from here.
Fred noted that on the other side of the beam was a staircase leading up.

  1. Fred turns right and heads into the second small passage.
  2. Fred turns and heads back the way he came.
  3. Fred steps out onto the wooden beam.
  4. Fred is overcome by regret for not buying those fiction adventure scrolls he saw the other day. He knew these feelings were unatural but they still stayed him.
  5. The wooden platform dropped away.
  6. All the men woke up.
