A Quick Beamout of the Nantucket Council...

"All questions will be answered, but I'll only be able to do it effectively by meeting behind closed doors with the Chief Executive and Council... along with the Captain of the Eagle... and Swindapa... naturally." You say with a slight smile as Captain Marian Alston, Captian in the U.S. Coast Guard looks at you with an... odd look on her face.

What in the name of the Supreme Ironist does this guy know? Alston thinks as she absently mindedly, but firmly places the hand of Swindapa back in her own lap with a strong but gentle ebony hand.

Alston's eyes grow a touch wider as you nod and grin just a little more.

"I... look forward to this discussion, sir," Alston says to you in a slightly cold voice as you, Swindapa, and she walk down to a meeting room to the side of the Town Meeting Hall.

Despite yourself, you shiver. Alston has the accent of those born in South Carolina... thick but with a finicky, precise touch to it, a self educated tone. If the story you remember is correct, she also was a some odd degree blackbelt. Her eyes were cold, and you get the feeling that she's slightly... annoyed with you.

No, this woman is definitely NOT somebody you want to fool around with. Not that you were going to anyway... considering the magnitude of what's going on... just that Alston's look just drove the point further home.

The tinkle of the transporters fades, and you unsteadily step off the pad.

"God, that was weird!" you mutter to yourself. You had always wondered just why Dr. McCoy was always nervous about being teleported... and know you know. "I think I left my stomach back in Nantucket!"

Pamela Lisketter's yellow/green eyes, already large even lean diet that the island's inhabitants, were positively enormous. Now, with them white rimmed with fright, they are REALLY enormous. The other Nantucketers look a bit... frightened also... some more than others.

"Oh my god... oh my god... oh my god..." Lisketter keeps whispering to herself.

All go quiet and all go into a bit of deeper shock when both human and furry Janeway enter the room.

"I think we need to talk and... explain a bit more on what's going on," you say in a soft voice.

"You... that would be most appreciated," Jared Cofflin says in a shaky voice, hugging his wife to calm her.
