The Never Ending Quest - Episode 12800

The wasp sting was intensely painful for a moment... and then it wasn't. Andrea felt a strange tingling over her entire body, a weird sense of internal movement, as if her skin was trying to crawl off her muscles, and her muscles were trying to crawl off her bones. It was bizarre and disturbing (and, yes, spooky!), but it didn't hurt. She noticed that a fine fuzz was beginning to sprout on her skin, growing in in black and yellow stripes. "What's happening to me?" she exclaimed.

"Oh, you're turning into a wasp," the old man casually informed her. "That's how the Giant Wasps of Metamorphosis (or the GWM's as we call them around the ACS) reproduce. It'll take a little while to complete, though." He noticed Andrea's distraught expression and added, "Don't worry. You'll probably quite enjoy being a wasp."

"But I don't want to be a wasp!" cried Andrea. "Isn't there some way to reverse it?"

  1. "Oh, yes," said the man. "If you can manage it in time."
  2. "Only the Golden Dishcloth of Righteousness can reverse a change like this."
  3. "Sorry, I'm afraid not. You'll just have to learn to enjoy it."
  4. "Well, I know of a way to stop the change, but not reverse it. If you manage it in time, you'll only be a Wasp-Woman, not a full-fledged GWM."
