Thankful that nothing blocked his way, Fred lugged his unconcious friend
out of the tunnel and into the cold moonlight of early morning. He carried Velus all the way down the mountain and to the nearest village. It's named was Gofotron, which meant 'village' in the ancient Monastic language. The Monastic Village Hospital was just closing for the night when Fred stumbled up. The long-suffering staff expertly mobilized. An hour passed. Fred was sitting in the waiting room, reading the latest scroll of 'Quests Monthly' when Doctor Rotcod appeared.
