Nyssa is a touch disappointed......

After a pause, Ragan said "I wonder how the Doc and Inquirer are getting on?"

"Well....we could just go and see, couldn't we?" Nyssa says reasonably.

Though not exactly able to follow the movie in it's entirety (she'd been a bit confused as to what exactly this Bishop had against these.....Republicans), but she'd at least gotten the gist of the story. Quiet frankly, she wanted to see these rogue "hackers" for herself!.

She'd been doing quiet well as playing the tourist.....seeing the quaint sights of these odd Earth people. It was.....refreshing and medicinal after that living nightmare she'd been living while under the sway of the Master (who she hoped would be getting his...er...her just reward).

Though the circumstances that this group worked under was exceedingly strange, there was something about them that Nyssa found appealing.

She wished that she could stay with them and share in their adventures, but she felt the weight of her responsibilities to her home world calling. She most especially regretted not getting the chance to learn this "magic" stuff (after she got over her initial surprise), but Sigin had informed her that while he'd like to teach her....he'd already reached his quota of apprentices and any more would just not work with him. Nyssa sighed and then brightened on the idea of at least sharing one adventure with these people before returning home to put things to right.

Betty, not wanting to cause awkward questions to be directed at her 1992 version of herself, cast a simple illusion that altered her features just enough to throw off recognition.

The elves, having already reluctantly concluded that this operation wouldn't allow for their regular disguise as normal human children, instead opted to use cloaking spells to not be seen. Not as satisfying as being seen (and thus being able to interact with those interesting people in this dilemma), but they'd be around to lend a hand if things REALLY needed it.....

That done, they exited the TARDIS and then go through the door of the laundry room in Liz's apartment (those who'd heard the TARDIS materializing while Inquirer had been talking figured it had only been the drier in need of maintenance) and then joined in the ongoing play.....

Nyssa hid a sigh of disappointment upon actually seeing the Sneakers. While her friends had already been told that these people didn't look exactly like their movie counterparts......

But then again we actually can't have everything, now can we? she chided herself as she looked at the people in front of her.

Bishop-had only a passing resemblance to Redford. The same goes for all the "real" people that the actor's portrayed in the movie.

Crease-Poitier's character in the movie had worked for (and got fired from) the CIA instead of the FBI (what those letters stood for Nyssa hadn't thought to ask until now). Like his counterpart in the movie, he got frustrated from time to time whenever Mother came up with yet another crazy conspiracy theory.....

Mother-known also as Darren Roskow. Whether or not he got framed and spent eighteen months at Dannemora for breaking and entering and has the best hands in the business, he was still the gadgets wizard of the group. He was also the conspiracy theorist and paranoid of the group, just like in the movie.

Carl-was the young genius of the group, and made something of comedy relief at times both in the movie and in this situation since the angst of the teenage were funny to behold. Carl Arbogast, age nineteen, been caught by the Sneaker in the movie when he'd tried to break into his school to change his grades in the school's computer system. Again, he had only a small resemblance to the actor, River Phoenix, who'd portrayed him on the screen.

Whistler-played by David Strathairn, was the blind soundman of the group. Like his counterpart in the movie, his hearing was superb for detecting the slight variations in sound when trying to crack a security system. He was also more observant than most of the others in the group. As in the movie and "real life", Whistler had a history of problems with the phone company.... Oh yes, Irwin Emery, also known as "Whistler", had problems with the phone company..... sixty-two counts worth of problems!

Liz-was Bishp's former girlfriend who'd been drawn back into this "little boy's club" since she'd wanted to help Bishop when it had appeared that the government had found him....and was blackmailing him into doing a covert operation. Refined and almost regal at times, she was also very intelligent (brilliant) and techno savy. She alone had known Bishop had been a fugitive even before it had come to light to the other Sneakers......

Whistler shrugged, figuring that before with the arrangement he'd made they'd have been safe enough from tracing from the NSA. They now had fix to six times the phone relays and satellites to be used in this operation.

"Let's get started, shall we?" Ragan finally says (thankful that the elves were disguised by spell.....things were tense enough as they were without having to explain them). Back outside on tour there had been a few close calls that Ragan and Betty would rather not remember.....

At least we were able to get to join in on helping these people, Betty sighs, still feeling a bit of resentment from the Sneakers.

This is overkill, Whistler thinks tartly as Bishop calls the NSA over on the East Coast.
