Western Wife and Family Turned into a Card Game
The Never Ending Quest - Episode 12301

Young Fred stepped carefully in the muddy dirt road. He could see two men
up ahead, they were yelling about "My claim! No its mine." Then they
turned around to see Fred standing there with mud up to his ankles.
"Howdy,"
"Howdy,"
Then Fred asked, "Is there I place I can get a bath and a nap?"
Both of them grinned at each other, " Why sure, sure, at May Lind's Fist
in the Eye Tavern." One with the moustache, equipped, "You must play poker
with us."
Before Fred had a chance to say "no" one of them had a gun aiming at him.
"Ok I love to play." He gulped with fear.
Inside a smoke filled room, a woman, with black hair and heavy eyeliner
approached them, "The room is always free, Boys." Then she slapped Fred's
behind.
"Ouch!" Fred Yelped.
"Nice rear end!" The Woman winked at him."Here is the room, boys and all
the trimmings!" Then she added wickedly, "Whatever you do please do not
harm, this, this nice boy."
"Yes May Lind, we will be neighborly to the boy."
Then one of the men forced Fred to sit down, then the cards began to be
pass.
In the middle of the table was a bright orange bowl of dark green peppers
of some sort and several bottles of Rut-Gut.
Then young Fred began to tremble when he began to see his first card, an
ace of spades. Beginner luck, he thought.
Then next card was, a King, a Jack, a Ten, and the last card a Nine, all
spades. What will they do to him? Will they accuse him of cheating? Will
they hang him from a tree?
"Where is my manners, my name is Sweet Ives, If you make fun of my name,
you're dead!"
Fred nodded blankly."Nice name."
One with the moustache and with the gun, remarked firmly, "There's no
needed to know my name, now. Play!"
Sweet Ives frowned, "I have Junk!" Then he picked up a pepper, and put one
in his mouth, "I folded."
The other tooked a drink of the rut gut,"I guess you won!"
"I-I haven't taken a bet or laid my cards down?" Fred said with confusion.
Then the gun went to his face, "When I say you have won, you have won!"
"I have won!"
All Fred wanted to do was to find a western wife and have a family. He
could not begin to think in what he had won. He was glanced at two men,
and their faces were hard as they were drinking their rut gut.
"What have I won?" He asked with a tremble.
