The Origin of Stopwatch....

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 11863

"But I believe now is the time for a an important question for both.....Astra 8a, Fred 8, and....Jarlath of course," Rule 1 says, popping back into existence along with Agent 1 (his chaos counterpart).

"That and a bit more," another figure says, coming into existence.

Some see her as one of the Valkyrie. In fact, they see here as the head of the Valkyries....the one called Brunhild. Some see this one as the head Angel Gabriel. Some even see them as the wondrous System Administrator. Others see this one as their own version of their version of the Head of the Angels (or equivalent). Questions at Who this actually is aren't clear even afterwards, for that is the nature of faith and religion on Terra Prime.

"He's on the move again...despite the Strictures against it with this Challenge," the Head Angel sighs. "I am on my way to lodge a Protest, but if you have something to add something to tighten up the Case against our mutual foe....."

"Yes....I do," Rule 1 nearly growls, angered at the continuing antics of the Head of Evil. "It involves that incident that brought about the destruction of that one universe. The one where Astra and Fred 11 visited briefly and met the Wolfriders AND involves that unfortunate happenings of the Q......."

Huh? Li'reth asks herself, remembering something that the others talking about these superpowerful entities that were like the Authors back at Addventure who supposedly lived in the Star Trek universe. What is this?

Solomon, remembering the encounter his Voyager had with Q, is also VERY interested at what this means.

Frankly, he hoped that whatever happened to one particular Q here was painful..... and slow!

Do you really want to tell of this in front of the Champions? Agent 1 asked his counterpart frantically, stunned at the turn of events...the change in plans that his counterpart just made.

They deserve to not be left in the dark about this...since they'd find out sooner or later in the course of their working for us. Rule 1 sends back, somewhat satisfied to throw his counterpart for a loop.

So Rule 1 tells what he learned while ransacking the Office of the Head Devil during a rare...unheard of...opportunity.

Somewhere, the Head Demon and the top Management of Evil pause in horror as the feel themselves freeze....unable to move.

The Higher Power(s) have stepped in, listening in on the proceedings Below.

Whether the Power knew of the happenings before isn't clear....but it doesn't look good for the Head Demon right now....whatever the case is in reality.

"You see....he meddled in affairs of my and my comrades Office," Rule 1 explained, "He was able to manipulated the unenlightened Rules and Agents to.....alter things in his favor....causing events to fall that would influence how the affairs of mortals races would fall out......"

Eyes grow wide as the story unfolds.

Seems that the Demons had warped things to what they'd hoped would result in delightful carnage, death, destruction, and evil. The Demon had manipulated events to cause the death of the more level headed, less bigoted branch of the Lizard's royal family thousands of years ago....instead leading to the installation of the Empire policy that would eventually see the birth of the Enemy/Alliance War. The same Demons also caused one Ferengi (a profit oriented race from Star Trek TNG) ship to be transported to a parallel universe back in the 1950....Rosewell New Mexico. Almost all of the occupants died in the process (one managed to beat the odds and get back to his own time and universe)....leaving an intriguing puzzle for the scientists at what would be called Area 51 to solve. Irony being that even though the very event was somewhat unintentionally chronicled in a Star Trek: Deep Space 9 episode nobody made the connection back then (being that the ship had been badly warped and damaged in transit.....mangling crew and ship beyond easily being recognized as what it really was when several scientists had taken breaks to watch their favorite science fiction show). The scientist finally got to a point after decades of effort (and tons of black budget money spent) to build what would be comparable to (and compatible with) Star Trek technology. The Demons manipulated a random jump of a Enemy Probe....leading to the Enemy to find the early Alliance worlds. The Enemy thought the Alliance an easy mark, attacked....and made a mortal enemy of the Alliance. The Alliance had been nearly destroyed by the initial Enemy sneak attack, but what grew back to what COULD have become a very fanatical (and eventually evil) group.

"Ah....but the old Admiral had a few things to say on that," Probe chuckled, remembering the early years.

"Yes, the Admiral was able to not only rally and organize the Military...but also act as it's conscience at times," Evis 7 put in.

  1. A monkey wrench in the works.....
