Parched beyond anything he'd ever felt before, Lord Frederigo tried to ignore how his tongue felt like cotton and the sides of his mouth like burlap. He continued steadily forward, striving to get to the water. Within twenty-five minutes, he pushed back leaves to encounter a sparkling pool. Perhaps a hundred feet wide and sixty to the other side, it was fed by a small stream trickling down from a terrace of rock.
