Fred, Astra and Velus remain in hiding until, after a few minutes, the elf stands up, stretches, and then walks out of the room.

Astra replies:

1. "No, that seems to have been as far as the elf got. I don't like this. How could he know about us?"
2. "It goes on: '"But it's describing what has been happening to us!" Fred exclaims. "Does it tell us what is going to happen next?" Astra replies...'"
3. "It goes on: 'I'm getting bored with this story. Time for something completely different. Suddenly the glowing Fred, naked princess and teen-dog Velus find themselves...'"
4. "I..." But just then the elf unexpectedly walks back into the chamber and sees them. "But you're fictional!" he cries. "I invented you."
