Little Fred

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 105599

"Now then, little boy," Melody says a little too kindly, swimming right up to the jutting rock on which Fred stands, resting her arms on the rock and her chin on her arms, "what is your third wish?"

Fred stares down at himself and looks back up to her, too completely bewildered even to be indignant. Finally he says, "How'd you do dis? Why?"

"Age differences. Merpeople live much longer."

Fred's lower lip trembles.

"Tick tock, child."

  1. Fred wishes to be "older."
  2. Fred wishes to be "the way he was before."
  3. Fred wishes to be "the same age as before."
  4. Fred wishes to be "twenty-five." (Why not shed a few years if he could?)
